Hey all,

So basically a brand new web domain with all the trimmings!

In the space of a day the host managed to get up and running a site, an SQL Server database, and some DNS changes for me so I could get Google Apps up and running!

Google Apps seemed to work a lot easier than I thought it would - get my host to change a few DNS entries, add a html file to verify I am who I say I am, and then turn on all the applications, and you have unlimited email addresses each storing 2gb, Google documents, calendar, and the ability to add your whole family and then some.

I'm going to see who in the extended family would like a blog and hopefully we can get this all up and running as a family website.

I'll still be keeping my domain over at Andrew Tobin at grr, argh! for my technical posts, but anything personal/family related will go here I think.
